Find a bunch of threads on saggy leafs but couldn't find anything where one side was sagging and the other not. Is this typical? My left rear tire gap is 22" from hub center to wheel well, right side is about 23.25". Can't see anything obvious under the bed. The leaf packs visually appear to have the same curve but I'm just eyeballing them from aft. The strut heights confirm that it's the suspension being compressed and not some frame/bed mounting being off or something. If this is typical, is there a way to verify its the leaf pack that's the problem? If not typical for only one side to sag, what else should I look for being the problem?

Thanks for any help or advice

It's extremely common, it's called the Taco lean. Toyota put the battery, the gas tank, and the driver on the same side of the truck. Several companies sell spacers to correct it.

Wow I’ve never had that drastic of a lean even with a full tank of gas. I’m assuming you checked while it being parked on completely leveled ground? New battery and full tank of gas?

Last time I checked mine was around 3/4” low on front left.
Less than that on the rear. But it was a bit lower.
I haven’t checked it in a while. Can’t tell visually.
Only reason I check before was playing with the idea of a lift.
I never did the lift. Have given the “lean” it much thought since.

It is a fresh full tank of gas. Battery is a few months old but the front is level. Guess it's dakars for me. Is there a set of dakars that is softer and less lift than the regular with 2.5"lift?

I have the same problem. Well over an inch between sides. The good thing is when I'm on a street my truck makes up for the natural curve of the road. Just drives me nuts when I'm on flat ground.
I haven't gotten around to changing my Dakars for something else to see if that solves it. My truck never had a lean this bad. Only w/in the last year has it gotten worse. They have about 100k on them. So I'll be curious to see if that solves it for you.

So you changed to dakars and after 100k you have a significant sag on drivers side already?

Maybe there is another weak link in the rear leafs? The hangars/hardware? Is there a bushing or sleeve that goes through the leaf ends where the bolt goes through?

Correct. Everything else looks good. I need to do more research on the body mount bushings. See if that helps b/c the measurements from axle to frame arent as drastic.

Appreciate the input and info. Went ahead and got the 5160s with dakar leafs. I think I might remove the 3rd leaf to reduce the rear lift a bit and maybe soften the ride, I don't plan to have a heavy load often. When I get my overland stuff I can add it back in if necessary. Hopefully this gets things back level. I got the driveshaft carrier bearing spacer kit for the rear lift but there will be a set of 6112 going on the front, probably about a 2-2.5" lift there. Is there any concern for the front diff height and CV angles with that lift? If so, is there any remedy besides new CV shafts?

I'm not the guy to answer that from experience on a 2nd gen. They make/sell front differential drops/spacers. The ones I've seen were 1" drop. As far as how high it can be lifted before trouble I don't know. On my 1st gen 4x4 it had a 2" lift and a 1" diff drop.

Gallon of gas is 6 pounds, so a full tank that's what...130# give or take? 130# sitting on one side will show on a tired set of leaf springs.

Standard Dakars are soft riding springs but if you plan on hauling any kind of real weight I would look at the medium or heavy duty Dakars. Standard duty ride nice and soft but won't hold more weight than what the stock springs hold

I don't remember what my front lift height worked out to be, but I didn't do anything for the front diff. If you're keeping the sway bar, you'll probably need a kit for that. axles were fine, I just seem to go through boots every few years from the ribs rubbing against each other due to the angle. Not sure if that helps answer your question?

Oh, put axle shims in the rear too. Helps straighten things out. I didn't have the bad vibrations I've heard others have. I used the carrier bearing drop kit and 3mm axle shims (which I'm still using w/ my 1pc driveshaft now).
