That might have been me. I ordered husky springs and got an old man emu shackle that wasn’t compatible. I ended up getting some OEM style shackles from ATC off eBay. They fit perfect. OP you can see a comparison of the new and old shackles and how they fit in the spring eyes in yesterdays post in the thread in my signature.

I'm pretty sure my shackles are OEM.

I've decided to reuse the hangers (the metal plates), but replace the bolts that go through it. Going to a fastener supply place for those. What type/grade of bolt should I be asking for so I don't end up with something that will snap under the load of suspension?

Probably grade 8 hardware but how are you going to separate the captured end without wallowing out the holes the bolts pass through? Full disclosure, I don’t know if this is an appropriate fix or not.

If this isn’t your only vehicle you might want to wait and order appropriate parts.

I'll try to press/grind them out. Once I removed the shackle, I saw that the pin/bolt and plate can be separated. They are press fitted together. Another option might be to ask the local spring/axle shop if they make shackle brackets. I see kits, but it looks like all of them have different diameter pins. One big and one small.

Do I NEED this part? I think it holds a rubber bumper stopper or something but my truck didn't come with that rubber part...

The bolts on OEM shackles are supposed to be different sizes. The bottom shackle to spring bolt is 14mm diameter. The top shackle to frame bolt is 18 or 19 I can’t remember. In this picture you see two shackle sets, OEM style replacement from ATS on the left was $90 for both sets and came with upper bushings. The old original shackle is on the right. Dimensions are identical.

Isn't it the upper bold in the picture that is attached to the spring? It seems wider than the bolt lower in the pic.

    4 run, 2 don't
They don't just 'fall off' considering the u-bolts hold them in place.

Nah it’s the longer thicker bolt on top that attaches to frame, shorter narrower bolt on bottom attaches to spring. Did you say you have new husky springs? That’s what I just installed with these shackles. Perfect fit.

My bump stop plates were also missing the rubber stops. I assumed they “fell off” for some reason. I got some used ones for a good deal to replace the old.

i dont have them on my truck either, dont wheel a lot either so it’ll probably be fine, as in goes down the road, and not heavily loaded. For 12k recently, purchased the truck like this PO replaced rear seals and plates, shop probably forgot to put them back on unfortunately
