I know...I just hate driving the truck knowing there's an issue.

Me too, thankfully I am cheap and lazy though. If it gets worse I will deal with it. I don't even noticeably lose break fluid, MC is not low.

I got the same issue. Toyota wants to charge me $3400 and refused to give me the part number. After some research and a few phone calls I got the following part number for the assembly.
    47050-04180
My leak isn’t entirely terrible but I went ahead and bought the part on sale for $1700.
If anyone has a different known fix for this, your input would be much appreciated. I’d rather send this part back and save my money.

That’s a ridiculous amount for money for a brake master cylinder.

This exact same thing just happened to my 17 TRDOR. The dealer quoted $3700 to fix, but said the parts are back ordered from China with an unknown ETA.

Have any of you had this repair done at the dealer or completed the repairs yourself? I have a 2017 TRDOR as well and I am having the same issue. It appears that the brake fluid is leaking into the master cylinder boot which is then weeping out and down onto the stop light switch assembly and onto my weathertech mats. Also, are any of you running a larger wheel and tire setup? Or a big brake kit? I am running both a larger wheel/tire and powerbrake big brake rotors and 6 piston calipers and was wondering if this could be the cause for the master cylinder failure. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

That’s odd, I’ve seen a few wet spots on my floor mat a few times on really hot days and thought it might be condensation. The spots have dried up without a sticky residue so it helped me think it was water. Does not happen all the time but now I need to look into it more and check my break fluid level.

I seem to have the exact same problem. I took my truck to the dealership yesterday and they seem to think the fluid is leaking from my steering column. Quoted me a replacement for $2400.

Pretty sure it is actually the master cylinder, not the steering column based off of where the leak is hitting my floor matt. Plus my reservoir is a little bit low now. Has anybody found a solution to this?

Just replaced the master cylinder in my 2017 trd sport. Seal must’ve went bad in MC bought one from salvage yard off eBay for $65 shipped off a totaled 2022 trd sport with 19k miles primed it ok the bench and installed myself in 2 hours. Brake booster was full so I extracted all the fluid out. Bled system which took me the longest to do tbh. I was losing brake fluid and having to fill it twice a day. Brakes are working perfectly

Looks like quite a few have this issue with the master brake booster leak. If this is the case, it should be a recall I would think. Brakes = road safety. No?

Why not buy a Master Cylinder from an Auto Part store or online. They cost anywhere between $155-$300 dollars?
Toyota OEM MC cost $700+ if it failed before it might fail again.
