Subie is famous for giving us concepts that don't look like the real thing.. . I hope they come through this time.. There is also the BRZ with STI hardware (minus the AWD) coming next year...

But that is what "WRX" is supposed to stand for. Otherwise it is just an Impreza.

I know that, but Subaru is using the name plate of WRX to create a separate platform, removing from the Impreza line

If they were making a WRC car it would be like the 22b WRX and have a 1.6 liter engine in it

It does have a bit of Evo/Camaro front end and hood, but overall it looks a lot better than the current model. My favorite look is still the 06-07 hawkeye front. The back has touches of the BRZ which is a good thing. I'm definitely liking the way they styled the rear doors and the rear roof line and quater panel.

I really like it honestly... It lost some of its "rally" aspects, but 99% of subie owners will never rally their cars so I like it

i'm hoping it's the cammo but it needs more aggressive fender flares, or maybe this is the regular WRX. the front end looks a bit too Ford

That commercial was pretty awesome and the WRX looked like it stepped up in class IMO. I love it and can't wait to see a production model.

I really really don't like the looks of it personally, but still interested in engine/tranny/specs etc out of curiosity . . .

The spy photos are probably very close to production spec

Its more than likely getting the FA20 DIT engine (from the JDM Legacy), its rumored to have a 6 speed and also the option of a HTCVD

I'm looking at getting a 5dr WRX when I get back to states.. not too sure about the new model. Looks too much like my buddies Legacy mashed with a new EVO.
