Is the 3rd brake light a recall for a 2019 tacoma does anyone know? Or are there any recalls for the 19s?

 Sorry OP, All I’d say is possibly get some legal help and also have your son go to a pediatric pulmonologist- they can run a blood panel and sputum culture to see if he was exposed to anything he should be treated for. Fungal infections in the lungs are not to be taken lightly. I know as I am currently being treated for a lung issue too.

This is what scares me. Especially with my kids.... like was said earlier, what if it’s in the AC stuff, or behind the dash. What then. The truck will always be tainted

I only noticed it Friday. He has t been on the truck since I noticed it. He’s not as bad as he was but not 100% yet. I won’t let him back into it obviously

    Agreed with everyone else's concern.
Get your Taco towed to the dealer. But before doing that make sure you give your service advisor a heads up. Give your dealer a chance to correct things and they will consult with Toyota on how to proceed. Corporate is there if you get any cant get any resolution. If Toyota corporate is giving you bs then consult with legal that's if you are for sure Toyota is 100% at fault. Not easy fighting a big corp if you dont have your ducks in a row.

I’m of the mindset it’s a well documented issue. Pretty apparent it’s toyotas fault that it leaked. There’s thousands of threads about it.

If they dont rid the mold entirely & properly you could put your health at risk & any other people who are in the truck. Super shitty to deal with; they ought to just buy back your truck and put you into something new.

I believe everyone that buys a new car has the expectation it's not going to leak. Not everyone drive the same car every day.

I don't know what the answer is to this. It's not my truck or my problem but it just piss the :censored: out of me.

Don’t clean anything up. Keep these photos and take more to fully document the damage. Ask your family doctor for medical advice for you and your family. Reach out to your local county/state health department and report the problem. Get in touch with anyone who might have been in your truck recently and advise them of the issue. Secure any documentation, especially anything official from Toyota, indicating this is a known issue. Call your insurance company, tell them of the steps you’ve taken, file a claim and ask them to send an adjuster and/or agent to inspect the truck ASAP. Let them deal with Toyota - they have more resources than you. Document your actions at each step. Get a personal involved attorney only as a last resort.

Having given the CYA suggestions, I’ll say the inside of my 00 TJ doesn’t look much better than that after sitting up all winter. First warm day in Spring, the curtains and doors come off and get wiped down, the interior gets a good cleaning and she’s good for another season.

A pediatric pulmonologist is the right doctor for this.

Yes but you’ll need to go to your primary care to get an appointment with the speciality doctors. That’s how most med insurances work.
