It’s been 3 days since installing my lift and replacing the needle bearing. Just today I noticed it’s leaking. Before I dive into it, what’s the normal prognosis? Issue with the axle seal? I’m just trying to get an idea of what I’m looking at before I get into this project.

Bed lined the rear bumper caps, LED lights in the interior, rear bed LEDs, red letter glove box inserts, center console coin box, set of Wildpeaks from my 2014 Tacoma that I traded in and removed the factory running boards.
you have to make sure the oil seal is sitting back 5.5 millimeters from the face of the opening where the CV joint mates to the front differential.

I used a large socket on the flat side to seat the seal, it sits flush. Zero leaks @ 42k miles so for.

BTDT. I drove the seal a bit too far in and had a murder scene under the Taco. Get a new seal and only go to flush with the face of the diff.

Seems like the only issue it could be is a damaged or improperly installed seal.
