Greetings guys, just had my 2016 off road serviced at 20000 miles yesterday and I was shocked to hear that they had to change my battery because it was leaking. I was super shocked because I didn't even have the slightest clue that something was up with the battery so just wanted to alert you guys to check yours as well. Has anyone else had this issue? The only battery related mod I had was some connection thing for a subwoofer that attaches to the battery; but other than that, my truck is bone stock..

I didn't have a leaking battery but they had to change my battery at 10,000 because my battery voltage was extremely low. I figured something was up because when I would idle my vehicle, it would constantly see "check voltage" or whatever prompt that would show up in the odometer screen. I wouldn't expect that prompt to appear on a new vehicle with a new battery, and I would put it on idle for even less than a minute and I would have a low voltage prompt.

I'm impressed the dealership caught that tbh.

I was very impressed too. More thankful if anything; would've sucked to have a dead battery all of a sudden while driving or before/after work..
