Hey guys anyone hear of this? you might want to check yours just to be sure it not going to be a big problem...I found the spare tire and under bed soaked in what looks like brake fluid. I checked the master cylinder reservoir and found it to be at or near the minimum level. There's a control box where brake lines and wiring goes in and out of, that box is attached under the bed. Its a mess under there.
Going back to the dealer tomorrow. Hopefully they will make it right. The spare tire looks ruined as the rubber dissolved onto my gloves.
    Update later...

I'd be more concerned with the paint coming off frame from the brake fluid than the spare.

Good point JAMAAK, I'll bring that up and get them to de-grease under there and hit em up for a new spare. Brand new 2016, 4K on it.
That's why I bought another Toyota (3rd one). It's the reliability I was banking on. I'm taking a road trip soon and already lost a few confidence points with it. Otherwise I really like the truck. I'm taking it back to Toyota an hour so I will let you all know what they find.:fingerscrossed:

Came home with THIS. Going to be a few days. They had to wash it down undero_O, and wait and see where exactly it's leaking from. Working closely with them to make sure it's done right. Dang I want my truck back, they loaded me a :burp:..0418161541.jpg

^^^^ That FTMFW, I better check mine...that's actually a little scary, no brake fluid right when you need it, would not be pretty.

Was it low enough for the brake light to illuminate yet? (which should happen well before fluid loss creates a braking issue)

The fluid will NOT hurt any rubber, like the spare, so don't embarrass yourself by asking for a new tire. The brake system, including master, calipers and rear wheel cylinders all have rubber in them. And used brake fluid was/is used to make tires purdy, before 'tire shine in a can' was available. The stuff on your gloves is dirt, not melted rubber.

Wheel might need replacement, as the fluid will take the paint off the wheel, as well as other painted metal parts soaked.

To answer your question, TRD OR and no I have not used crawl control at all.

UPDATE: Just got my truck back, they cleaned the under carriage and refilled the master cylinder.
Replaced my spare and re-taped the wire harness as the fluid ruined the electrical tape winding.
They claim it was a loose hydraulic fitting that was not properly torqued. So they went ahead and rechecked all the hydraulic fittings
to be sure and they were fine. I'm a bit UN-nerved at this over site but at least I have history in case something does come up.
I will keep an eye out for the next few days to be sure.
Now I can get back to other things:bikewhoops:...

    THE END!!:hattip:
