    Working now a list
I would suggest getting the recall done and swap the light after.

This way if you have leaks in the future you can put the oem light back in and get it fixed under warranty.

Have you had this recall done yet? I also have a shell and my dealer said the same thing. Ironically, I received another postcard about the recall on Wed this week. On Friday I took truck thru carwash and...... it eff'n leaked! Four stains on headliner in a blue-ish tone, probably from the colored soap in carwash.

One reply mentioned mold. Has anyone had a mold issue? UGH, I really don't want to have to take off my shell. Total PITA.

    Nope.
I got a postcard from a different dealer about the campaign. I’ll call them and ask.

I have to figure out a way to get my cap off to get the recall done. The dealer quoted me over $400 to R and R the cap to get my free work done

I got a card form Toyota about this recall and it says it should take "approximately 1 hour". I called the closest dealer to get it done and they said that they need my truck for 2 days, I made the appointment. I have never had any service work done there, mainly because I do it myself and it's a Toyota, does not need much fixing. Are they trying to defraud Toyota for warranty hours? My truck is not leaking and in excellent condition in and out. My fear is I get a hack tech that causes damage that I will have to spend time and possibly money to fix. Seems like a big risk for little gain. Should I cancel?

2 days?? Shouldn't take more than 2 hours. And they can't defraud Toyota. It's a flat rate job unless they find damage
