Can anyone tell where this is likely coming from? Currently 4 hours in heading from San Diego to Sacramento. Just used Blue Devil head gasket sealer yesterday. Everything is running fine and coolant temps have been staying in 175-190 range.

That sucks. Hard to say with given info and pic.Few things are close that it could be and that part itself carries coolant. Might want to try stop leak or pulling over letting it cool off and add more coolant/water that blue devil can make shit worse in the long run.

Ya for now it’s just a bandaid and so far it does seem to be working. It’s not misfiring at startups anymore. It seems like a very reputable product though.

    4 run, 2 don't
That pic is way too close up.

Is that the driver side, near the front? If so, your thermostat housing is right there.

I’d say water pump. Sometimes they can leak for quite some time before it gets very bad.upload_2022-8-26_23-22-6.jpg

What’s the life span on the water pump? I’ve owned the truck for the last 94k. Water pump and timing belt both got done at the same time but I honestly couldn’t say when it was.

If the water pump is a genuine Toyota or Aisin brand I’ve seen them last over 200,000 miles.
i’ve seen cheaper brands only last 50,000 miles.
It could be the water pump gasket. If that’s the case I’d replace the pump anyway since the pump has to come off to replace the gasket.

If it is the water pump, could it have anything to do with this p0300 misfire I’m also getting?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
As long as you followed directions and got all the anti freeze out you should get at least a year.

Know that a major failure could happen just keep watch on things as it is a temp fix.

Our school bus garage loves this it gets them through the year till the summer when the engine can be torn down correct and fixed.

never hurts to have a few gallons of water living in the truck.

    good luck

I Doubt it. Although the crank shaft position sensor is right below your leak could be affected by the moisture.
P0300 is a misfire code and I’ve chased this code before it’s usually fuel or Spark related. That being said a bad or shorted out crank shaft position sensor could cause this also.
Here is your crank shaft position sensor.
it has one bolt and an o ring.
Moisture could have gotten to it if it’s cracked or gotten through the wire connector. Again I highly doubt that would be the cause of your p0300.
