Leaking Grease from CV Boot

    I just did this job a couple of weeks ago... the stock boot kit from toyota was about 50 dollars a side and included 2 new boots and 3 clips and 4 bands with 3 or 4 bags of grease for each side.

    My boot was torn almost in half and I drove it forever and when I took it out to reboot the was almost no dirt and still grease everywhere on the cv. note I did not go mud bogging or anything during this time. Cleaned it up, packed it with grease its fine. no noise and its been 3 years maybe. a lot of post say You want to keep the toyota oem axles , they are stronger. My other side is torn now so I get to do it again ya. A easy way to get the axle out is wrap strog enough wire around the inside of the bell part. tie the wire to a head sledge hammer out side the car and swing hammer outward. pops right out
