I already posted this issue in a thread, but decided to make a new one for it. The truck was purchased Sept '08 and has under 10K miles.

The other day it rained pretty damn good, and that night I went out to vacuum the carpets. I took my mud mats out, and about 10-15 water beads ran off the underneath part of the mats. I checked the carpets, and both of the fronts were SOAKED and wreaked of mildew.

Yesterday I took it to the dealership I bought it from. They ruled out the windshield leaking first, and ended up having to leave it overnight. Today I called and they took the whole interior out, but supposedly found the issue. They ended up replacing the gromet that is around the factory radio antenna. Right now I am waiting for them to put brand new carpet back in it and will probably have the truck back tomorrow.

Does this sound like a probable cause? I could see it leaking into the passenger side, but the driver's side as well? Any input would be great!

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
Well, that could very well be the case. At least they're fixing it.

Wait and see. I would run it through the carwash on the way home.

Yeah I will. Are these trucks pretty well coated underneath the carpet, or will this lead to rust later on?

Not if you let it dry out real well. Replace all of the carpet and padding or let it dry completely.

I got my truck back from Toyota finally. They did a really good job, replaced the carpet completely, and changed out that gromet. It has rained since then and no water on the inside, so I hope this issue has been resolved. Now on to the TSB!

hmmm damn grommets!! I had a puddle one time after rain, luckily I have rubber floormats and nothing got soaked. I checked the seams that the leaky TSB mention and nothing.I also found a push clip that was broken(one that holds that black plastic trim thing, the one under your wipers).or that antenae hole just may be it. although I haven't had any leaks since.
    good lookin out.
