hey tacoma world! was working underneath my truck the other day and realized i have an oil leak. inspected it and it’s mostly leaking from the front of the motor where the crankshaft is. i believe it’s been going on for awhile, it did travel to the oil filter side and also noticed it on my hood. cleaned it up today near the crankshaft, took it for a drive and noticed no leakage. i will clean up the rest when i do have time but i was just wondering if anyone would know where else to look.

That definitely looks like a front main leak. Could also be a oil pump housing gasket. Might as well do both while in there anyways. Cheap pieces but a little time intensive. I'd budget a weekend on it all.

All kinds 3 inch body lift/2 1/2 suspension lift. 31/11 1/2/15 tires All work done by myself for years. The only work performed by mechanic was fuel pumps. I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
If its a 2.7 and you are a little mechanical you can do it. Front seal is easier than one would think

yes it’s a 2.7. front seal meaning the seal within the pulley right?
