maybe I’m not fully understanding your original post, so I’ll apologize..but you had a leak, then added a prinsu/roof rack, which requires a penetration into the roof (introducing another source of water intrusion) and you’re coming here for advice and getting snarky?

why not address the issue prior to introducing another factor to the roof leak?

I’m trying to understand the logic and how to help. At this point, take it to the shop or track it down yourself.

So how long did you know about the leak before installing the roof rack? Not sure that was ever answered before you got snarky OP.

Am I right that access cabs don’t have the issue?

Stealerships are called stealerships for a reason. They might want to use the roof rack as an excuse to not cover the brake light TSB. I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of Stealership logic horror stories before.

Yah no shitt there. Id like to see them try though. Ran the hose on the roof rack penetrations with no water inside. Then on the brake light with water. Also watched water run to corners from brake light.

you’re late to this thread and are calling people out on post that OP has edited and deleted, including to me.

he has/had a leak issue, added a factor to it (roof rack) and came here to get support, in hopes of getting us to shit on the seals when he goes to the dealership, which would have been my first stop before installing a roof rack.

I think it shows up that it’s been edited, post #7 appears not to have been.

Look, I just don’t get it when someone posts a valid problem asking for input and some appear to see it as an opportunity to show how the poster is inferior and how superior they are.
I get joking but some of these are just put downs.

I typically laugh when I get these personally, but seeing guys pile on for no good reason to some other guy well I just go “hmmm let’s have fun with these small Aholes and tear them a bigger one” lol.

If I were you, I’d ask to be present while the technicians inspect your vehicle to make sure they do perform a thorough inspection.

This is what decided to do. I still haven't gotten around to install it yet, as it 106 today. Supposed to cool off in another week and I'll do it then.
Yes, another leaking third brake light thread...

Here's a picture of the new third brake light with the thicker redesigned gasket

This isn't reddit, TW doesn't give you a "last edited" post. You'll also note that post #7 and my post have the same time stamp.

Regardless, in diagnostics, determining all of the factors is critical. When I found out that OP installed a rack after discovering a leak, is similar to a person with pneumonia taking up smoking... However, seems like OP has determined his issue. Let's see what happens when he goes to the dealer...

Thank you. If people must know. I needed the rack to haul gear for a trip. Yah, it probably wasnt the smartest thing to do with an existing leak. However, it really doesnt do much to compoud the situatuon. But like i said before and what davidstacoma just said posting trash and snarky shit really doesnt help.

ok I accept that I appear to have jumped in without full knowledge, I can’t see deleted post but pretty sure it shows when a post has been updated and #7 was not. Still it seems I missed some stuff so backing out of this now, my bad lol.
