Leaking Tacoma

Hello Members,
I have a question.I purchased a new 2023 Tacoma sport at the end of 2022. Several months into ownership I noticed water under the front passenger mat. I then brought it into the service department at the dealership I and was told it was the cloggrd roof skylight vent. Thinking it was fixed and a few weeks later noticed it again. Back to the dealership which is 20 miles away. They checked out the vehcile and said the vents werent clogged but blew out the AC and skylight vent. This has happened a few more times so I decided to speak to the manager and explain my concern and a musty odor is now in the truck. They now take the truck and provide me a loaner and finally found the back window had a crimped seal. They informed me that it will be replaced and leak mitigation for the carpeting. Finally the problems were hopefully solved. They had the truck for over a week. This was at the end of 2023, then I starting smelling a musty odor again in January 2024, I said this cant be happening. I lift up the front passenger mat again and find water again, back to the dealership and they find the front skylight/AC vent was clogged. The musty odor is back, the service manager tells me its common for those leaks to occur. Sorry for the long post but has anyone had this problem/ and if so what are my options, is this considered a LEMON?

 

They probably just didn’t fix it right, if you do a search of Tacoma world there are a ton of threads about this issue. It’s a common-ish problem.

 

Your dealer is the lemon. From here it appears that instead of fixing a correctable problem, they keep making it worse. I wouldn’t let those bozos rotate my tires at this juncture.
