I duck hunt just about every weekend during the season here in New Mexico and my waders are 5 mil neoprene and I stay pretty comfortable. They are hot during the september teal season. Looks like you shoot alot of divers in mississippi. If you ever want to trade hunts let me know. We shoot more puddle ducks here and its mostly green heads.

I'd call up LaCrosse and see if they can do anything for you. I wouldn't volunteer that they're second hand, just say your waders are dry-rotted and see what they say. They may offer to switch them out at cost or something. Would still be a great deal.

I have patched up lots of waders. The best repair stuff is AquaSeal, hands down. It is expensive, but it's really good stuff.

The problem is that it is almost impossible to patch the boots for some reason. I have tried and failed several times.

I hate to say it but you are probably going to have to toss them! That is some really bad cracking, over a huge area.

The one boot repair job I did that was successful (it was a small puncture so it was a bit easier) went like this:

    Clean boot really good.

    Cover area with AquaSeal.

Lay down some GoteTex material over the crack, (once the AS is almost fully cured,) so it sticks.

Let it dry/cure, and then cover the entire area with a second layer of AS.

Don't even waste your time with Shoegoo, or any other cheap Walmart crap.

    You need to use AquaSeal!
