Leaky brand new camper shell

    Soooo....pretty much it leaks when there's water? I think that's the only time any of them leak. :rofl:

    Your post reminds me of CNN or some other main stream media that takes something out of context. Go back and read my post again. Or better yet this was the complete sentence copied from my post.

    The only time water really gets inside is right after a rain or I wash my truck, lift the rear door on the cap and then water will drip in.

    Thanks everybody! If the dealer cannot figure out how to seal it the 2nd time I take it back, I will refer to some of these ideas. I just do not have time to ‘do it myself. Besides, they need to make right because they swore up and down that it would fit right. BTW, what is IIRC from Steve.P?

    My Leer 100xq doesn't leak. When the dealer installed it he put a bead of clear silicone caulking in the seam where the composite bed meets the sheet metal in front, and used two layers of the seal tape. Worked like a charm.
