I have Toytec Boss coil overs on my 2013 TX Pro that I've had on for about 18,000 miles/3 years. The driver side has been leaking for quite some time.Looking from some opinions.Should I replace the shock or just get a new different brand of coil overs?Another issue I have is that I want to adjust the height but the collars are just too tight.Toytec only supplied one spanner wrench and it looks to need 2,one to hold the top collar and one to move the bottom collar.Any thoughts?

I think you only need one spanner to make the adjustments when it’s installed.

If you like the ride quality ok, I’d just get one new shock.

You only need one spanner. Break the bottom loose then freely adjust the top one for preload.

Toytec is great about customer service. Call them and explain what’s going on. They will likely give you a substantial discount on a new shock. Then all that is left is for you to swap them over.

If you go that route, PM me with questions. I’ve broken mine down quite a few times for cleaning or swapping coils. I can walk you through it if you get stuck. I say this because it’s hard to compress the spring with the auto zone kit but if modified it works well. Just don’t let them catch you altering their kit lmao.
