So after trying out OnX Off road, I decided to cancel it LOL...They make a great hunting app but still lots to work on with the off-roading app.....I'm looking at Gaia now, it seems to be the main go to for off roaders...

With that said, @Samus is it possible for you to share the route you've created so far with us?

I'll work on the two routes this weekend! Still have to figure out how to share it via Gaia. Should be easy though

Ok so I may have gone a little overboard and planned the main route and 4 other alternatives. That's just what I do
We are now a month out and I'm stoked for this! I'll share the Gaia maps tomorrow :bananadance:

@Sugar Silva be there or be square! This is an easy ride, no technical routes. And no pinstriping. Don't let Josh scare you

Ok, let me know wtf this does for you guys: https://www.gaiagps.com/datasummary...b365-f73d3e616eb9/?layer=usfs-roads,Satellite

This is just a test, it keeps glitching out for me and putting random lines on there that aren't supposed to be there. I think I'm having sync issues between my app and when I work on it on my laptop. But let me know if you guys can see it and have the option to navigate or something. The starting point is the top left, at the beginning of Highpoint Rd off the 79.

I do, but I think if I share the link like above it allows others to access the map data. Let me know if it works!

Got it! I can see it and it saves to my account and just synced to my phone :D.

It looks like most of this on paved road aside from Grapevine trail correct?

False. I have no idea how it happened but the stupid route switched to mostly highways. I'm such a noob at Gaia, can you tell? My own maps are messy as hell but I'm trying to make this one prettier for public consumption
    THIS ONE should work: https://www.gaiagps.com/datasummary...84df-bf98ec6e3fc3/?layer=usfs-roads,Satellite

The only time we're on the highway is coming off of Palomar to zip north to Puerta La Cruz, then coming off of Indian Flats we need to go east to Grapevine. In the notes section it should detail the route, and I tried to put the little marker thingies at each trail offshoot so it keeps you on the same path. I have no idea why it has that little offshoot from Highpoint at the beginning, we can just go straight down the trail, but for the life of me I can't get the damn thing to cooperate :goingcrazy:

I'm sure quite a few are tentative (myself included) but it might be a good idea to have a backup plan of splitting the group if it gets too big
