yes I’m 100% in to camp, and if this is going to end in Borrego or anza I know of a few decent areas but not great stops.

Looks like my cousin from Temecula will be tagging along (as a passenger in my truck). Once we figure out a start time for this I'll determine if I'm driving out the morning of or the night before, and thus, if I can caravan with y'all. We may also be down to camp.

I just posted one. I believe it's first come first serv and probably pay with envelope. https://nextcampsite.com/bow-willow-campground-anza-borrego-sp/

There is also Blair Valley on the S2 much closer to the 78 however no campfires allowed. I DO have a gas firepit for those situations. Blair Valley is free. LITTLE Blair Valley is on the other side of a small mountain to Blair Valley, it's extremely light on traffic and could probably have a wood fire behind a large rock without anyone knowing...

If there are more, do share!:D

Near the end We jump on the S3 which looks to be paved all the way till the endpoint of the route posted?
Is there sight seeing reasons to continue on this paved road out? Why are we not jumping back on the 78 right here to go home?f
For those of us that wanna camp I see the Yaqui Well Primitive Campground right before the S3 starts and another a few mile sup the S3.
Any opinions on these camp spots? seems like a great place to camp and then take route backwards on sunday.

Bow Willow seems a bit far off the route IMO, however I will stay with the group conscious

Yup, thats what I'm waiting on so i can figure out my plans. I don't have any problem getting up early, plus morning drives are the best when there aren't so many people on the roads.

I know some are coming from a couple hours (or possibly more) away, so I don't want to start too early and make people get up at 5am. How does 8am at the trailhead (that wide wash looking area at the beginning of Highpoint) sound? Let me know what you think!
