The oil change reminder says "MAINT REQ", it's not a CEL. I'd stop at an auto parts store and have them check the codes. Silly question, but did you tighten the gas cap all the way last time you fueled up?

I did bring along a obd2 computer and she's not throwing any codes at me and still running super smooth. Gas cap has tricked me once before but not the problem. Thanks for your help.

VERY COOL! My wife and I are planning on doing a similar trip when she separates from the Air Force in a couple years. Going to go with a similar setup on my truck (only probably a lighter tire) have you had any issues getting around without a skid plate?

No problems at all. I really wanted to maintain as close to stock as possible while still being capable in sketch situations. We really hope to inspire as many folks as possible in the US to do something like this. To be honest every place we visit we are usually the only Americans around. It's sad really. Us in the US do not have a "Holliday" period to go do things like Europeans do. It's sad that most of us won't even leave the state. WE HAVE SO MUCH OUT THERE TO SEE! This experience has been a real eye opener. Still exploring Chicago and visiting friends then over to Tennessee.

I see you're coming to Tennessee. I'm right off of Interstate 40 smack dab between Memphis and Nashville. The views of the Tennessee river/ Kentucky lake in my area are something worth seeing. We have a 10+ mile road that was an old railroad track that has a view of the lake almost the whole way, with a ferry crossing at the end. Be glad to buy you lunch if you want to check it out.

Thank you so much for your friendly offer. My wife and I landed in Memphis right as Beale St had a cool car show going on. Later that night we decided to land in Jackson to sleep at the wally world for the night. Already ran into people who looked up our website right as we parked. Very nice people but definitely getting looks when I talk lol. Sorry to pass but we have something booked in Nashville and need to get going. Again thank you for your extended had. The support keeps rolling in. Welcome to TW.

Kentucky, Ohio, Pittsburgh. All so beautiful. A storm has been nipping at our toes so we've kept to the road. Lucking out. Off to Buffalo.
    A few of my faves.

We finally beat out the huge weather system that's been chasing us. We bolted right up to Buffalo to check out Niagara Falls(EPIC). How could we not cross over into Canada. So it's official, the Tacoma has done an amazing job keeping us safe and warm going for 20 states and two countries now. Would I buy a Taco again you ask... Does a bear shit in the woods. Now we are sitting in a cool little truck stop diner in New Hampshire enjoying coffee and company. Got to love it.

This trip had been a little insane on the east coast. To be honest I'm not really a fan. Traffic is bonkers tolls are nuts the people are scowly... BUT I love the history. Boston was amazing and full of nooks and crevasses to explore. I'm skipping a lot and we ended up not making it into NYC (thank god) because it was just too crazy stressful and expensive to figure out where and how to leave the truck somewhere safe for the day. I am not really a fan of places like SF or NYC and the wife has Already been so I was happy to keep going. We got lucky in DC and found a parking spot right next to a cop station. When we finished up and ran back to the rig we found a meter dude taking a picture of the TICKET on the windshield. Long story short he voided the ticket because he like the rig! Now we are resting in North Carolina with family for a few days. Hopping to avoid the nutty weather going on.
