Been playing around with Duolingo for the last year. The site makes learning new language similar to a game.

I am amazed at how well I can read simple Italian. Can't speak it for shit.

Anyone else tossed the dart? Essentially what I did when choosing to learn Italian.

It's a bit difficult when English spelling is already a challenge, but I am enjoying it.

I do find it amazing how I convert common English words to Italian.

Anyone else trying Duolingo on for fit?

Duolingo didn't fit my learning style, another really great app that helped me learn a little quicker was an app called "Memrise"

I feel each lesson builds on each other rather than having to exercise more of a random memorization.

Both are great tho. Happy learning :)
