Learning logic?

I'd contend maybe they missed the mark which is proven in their multiple attempts to adjust the transmission behavior via software updates (TSBs)

 

Some may. Again, I have not had any TSB's done but you're right, the 16's do seem to have an issue. Maybe more than others. I also have not met anyone outside of this site, who is having issues with their transmission. If 500+ are on TW out of 220,000 + trucks sold, I wouldn't call that a problem/miss. Maybe I don't know that many people

 

It's an easy topic to debate. I don't want to beat a dead horse. Just trying to voice that not everyone hates the truck and transmission.

 

I tow my boat all the time. How will this affect the "learning"?

 

Now that is a good question. I believe I've seen on here/read that it really does most of the "learning" during the first 1000 miles which you may not want to tow during that time. I don't really know, just a thought.

 

Or maybe do an ECU reset, tow the boat for 1200 miles just for this system to learn it. Then remove the boat. I wonder how that would play out.


Side note. I don't have a lot of the trans/power issues other people seem to have. Really if not for TW, I probably wouldnt know about it. I have always wondered if towing my boat a couple times a week has played any role in the difference.


Edit..... Ive been towing the boat since probably around 1k miles. I now have 9k.
