Oh man, I was at a junkyard looking for parts for a ranger I had along time ago (I always looked for explorers as they had upgrade stuff) I went in one and there was brown crap and hair stuck the the headliner. No idea what it was but it was freakin nasty. I doubt it was human residue, I’m sure they would have ripped all that out and destroyed it. So maybe a deer or something. Either way- it was all over the seats too, and they were leather.

On the other note- I pulled my cloth out and had a road wire kit installed with heat. I don’t regret my decision, because I wanted to remove the cloth, but in the end- clazzio covers are a real winner as very few leather kits are full leather, many use vinyl on the sides and backs of the seats, same as clazzio. (You can get full full leather, but it’s is much more costly.

Some insurance companies will total a stolen vehicle even if it’s in good shape if it has had any meth residues in it, happened to my brother inlaw after his family van got stolen.

Hate to say it, but yeah, old blood turns brown after awhile. YUCK!

There's a reason you don't want full leather... unless your truck is a garage queen, the leather seat backs and head rests are very susceptible to UV degradation and cracking. Vinyl. While not as supple, is very UV resistant.

That's why older BMW's always have cracked leather. There's a reason that luxury brands have switched to a leather/vinyl combo.

Not all salvaged vehicles seats are no good. My seats were fine after our accident even tho it was a total loss. None of the airbags went off.

Isn't it also because leather-vinyl is cheaper? It's also usually less comfortable and plush than the old school leather from the 80s and 90s.

Clazzio covers are cheap and great . Had mine for 3 years and they saw a ton of abuse. Cleaned em up and sold them here for about half price.

If you want leather (or "leather") seats, spend the little extra money on clazzios or similar imo.

Just the knowledge of driving your truck while seated on fart-laden, sweat-soaked, junkyard pleather....yea, no.

Yes, but just not the only reason for a "blend". Katzkins offers an all leather option (more expensive). I opted for the "more leather" option. The salesman talked me out if the all leather, as my truck wouldn't be garage parked.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
I shopped for cloth sport seats a while back. Most were around $400 if in decent condition. Shipping was usually included.
