Do you leave your bed cleats mounted to the bed or take them out when not using them? Seems like an easy quick-steal item. Thoughts?

    Always in for me.
Nobody has bothered them yet in 10 years.
Hopefully they never will, but I won’t be surprised if they ever do.

I keep mine in the bin under the back seats, along with my tiedown straps. I mainly do it so they don't weather too much. Since I only really used them about once a month, it's no big deal to install each time I use 'em.

I leave them. But I have a tonneau, so out of sight.

However, my tailgate does not lock and the cover is soft, so access is easy peasy for the vandal minded.

My bed mat is worth more than those tie downs. And my fishing rod holders are worth more than that.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

It kind depends upon where you live, work, and park your truck. They can be stolen anywhere, but some places are more risky than others.

I leave 'em in. Only 3 in the truck when I bought it. Wouldn't mind having a 4th. But since put the 4 extra D-rings in the bed bolts, it's not really a priority. :notsure:

I have 9 on my truck and never take them out. Cheap enough to replace if they do get stolen.

I usually put them in one of my bed compartments just because It looks a little cleaner, but I leave them in too

I like to tie shit down. Spring and fall I haul many many bags of leaves to my property to burn.

I leave them in all the time, under a soft tonneau cover. It wouldn’t surprise me if it all got stolen some day in today’s world. About ten years ago someone stole the glass out of one of my side-view mirrors (just the glass, not the entire assembly) at a Home Depot parking lot in the middle of the day...there‘s lots of low-life pricks in this world.

I store them in one of the access door pockets. I don't use them very often, and it only takes a minute to install.
