Is that the model that the front seat backs laid back flat, matching up to the rear seat bottom?

Right tires and it would make an excellent overlander.

No that was the "Classic" rambler. This is the "American" model, sadly. That was an awesome feature. Great cars though. Still have a 68 wagon, have owned 3 of them in the past 30-35 years. I digress. Back to the teen who is not sure if he can park his car for a week. ;-) Yes young man. You can.

Those vehicles on The Walking Dead sat for years. They fire right up and go like heck. The quality of gas and batteries in those areas must be amazing

Ours gets parked from November till May...think Alberta Canada winter...-40 or colder, NOCO keeps the battery (Optima Red Top) stable...so no worries buddy .

Left my Tacoma at home and the Highlander at the airport for a week. Me and my wife flew to Kelowna, BC. Unless you have issues with your battery, it should be ok.BB65A23E-4D2C-4EAC-AFAE-CF47540FB695.jpg 1F081F73-6839-4A63-9993-F79AB329C3FE.jpg AEDD9749-BA83-419B-AAD8-2AB82A3600C4.jpg 342C03DD-660C-4540-B12F-9CFED0321DD1.jpg

The seats would recline fairly level on the higher model Americans too, move the front seats all the way forward. ;)

Edit: If I tried "sleeping" in one today I would probably be crippled for 3 days.

Nice! I see big fat tires, is it a sleeper?

I always wanted one of the American wagons, just never found the right car at the right time.

What did you use for a transmission and did you keep the original American rear axle and front brakes?

EDIT: Factory V8 car to start?
