LED BULBS

Anybody ever switched all there lights over to LED's??

 

I did once, but i switched the headlights back to normal bulbs because they wouldn't melt the ice on the front of the lights and i kept having to clean them off and the beam pattern sucked. Also make sure you get the resistor LEDs for the turn signals otherwise they will blink to fast. Other than that they were awesome!

 

On my 2nd gen I've done:
DTRL/Front turns
Parking lights
Fog lights
Reverse lights
3rd brake light
Map light
Done lights
License plate light
Rear turn signals

I thought it was Illegal to switch you're DTRL/Front turning from amber, they look white in your pics.

 

It is. But enforcement isn't always there.

 

He might also have "switch back" lights. Which are white when running, then switch to amber when you activate the turn signals.

 

Sweet guys! Im wanting to switch all my lights over to LED. Except for my headlights because I have Hid's there. I just don't know what LED lights to get

 

Correct. They switch to amber when the turn signal is activated

I was interested in changing my DTRL/blinkers in my 08 to Amber LED's(from superbrightleds) but keep hearing about hyper fast blinking. Could u tell me if you used resistors on your DTRL's or how you did you mod? Thanks. I'm trying not to cut into wiring harness & want a plug and play solution if there's one out there.

 

Hi there, yes I am using resistors. Without them you will get the rapid blink. I am not running the DTRL mod but I am using CSjumper's DTRL LEDs. Unfortunately, I can't speak with a lot of confidence on the actual install because I live right by Chris (Jumper) and he has been installing my lights for me. I would recommend PMing him with questions and considering buying the lights he offers. They are some of the best out there.

 

I had to put resistors in line with my LED Bulbs for my blinkers I used on my Trailgear rock defense bumper.

Check out this guy. I cant speak from experience because I just ordered this morning, but the reviews are great.

 

Mine are from Jumpers LEDs, My headlights are HID. Also have the DTRLs white and turn amber when turning.
