I'm beginning to work on my cupholder modification, and I wanna wire the power to the LED15145906270631876604687.jpg delights to the light that comes on under the gear shift lever indicator. Any idea which wire might be the one that carries this power?

Don't rule out the brown wire.... Brown wires just don't get the recognition they deserve...!

I got this working over the weekend. Turns out that none of the cables to the shifter would work, as each powered the selection light (e.g. Park, Reverse, etc). I ended up splicing off the LED that lights up the Qi charger bay. Lots of wires... made them all able to disconnect so I can pull the center console out as well. Took a bunch of random pictures to show the progress.

My only issue is that it's pretty bright... especially in the center cup holder, even with the lowest dim setting on the micro controller. For the middle and back cup holder, I drilled holes and mounted the LED from behind using a glue gun. One nice little find was that I made a "dot" of glue that I could then push into the hole to make it look flush.... looks really professional. in the hole that is too bright, I may try to create a glue "dot" that is a bit cloudy to diffuse the light a bit more.

For the two cup holders up front, I just made a small cut and pulled the LED into the area between the two cup holders. I then drilled two extra holes in the little device (pulls right now) to let more light through.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I thought I was the only one obsessed with adding LED lighting in the interior. I see you tapped into the green wire on the shift pattern wire harness. What does this illuminate in the shift pattern? I want to tap into the "P" specifically in order to illuminate my TRD Pro shift knob.

Looks like it could use a higher value resistor.

I have a 1k resistor already. My end result will be this once I get the shift cover back from the shop that is going to cut the TRD lettering out.

Nice, I’m kinda ocd about colors and output. Most aftermarket switches are way too bright. I went 20k on one in the armrest.
