i just picked up all putco 360 leds for my arb turn signals the factory front turn signal no drl's and the rear turn signals.

i also ordered 4 ceramic resistors which i don't really want to use. i was directed to super brightleds.com. they have an led flasher module that supposedly works on newer toyotas i'm going to post a link to it to see what you guy's think.

like i said i'm going to have 2 leds in the arb and 2 in the headlights and 2 in the tail lights for my turn signals.http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=/specs/CF18-08.html

HI, i got a LED flasher from Super Bright LEDs inc. (314) 972-6200 model number was CF180-08( Led bulb flasher unit) price $12.95. I really cannot vouch for this product as I have yet install. BTW same pin layout but the numbers printed on it are different. Hey wtf for $12.95b worth a shot. BTW also bought all my led bulbs from them. Just been lazy to install.
    Good Luck.

where do you instal the new flasher? i can't even find my factory one unless i'm not recognizing it. i checked the inner fuse panel and the fuse box in the engine bay as well and i don't see anything that looks like the image of the op's flasher.

I grounded down the resistor loop all the way until I broke through checking every little bit and it still didn't fix the hyperflash. When it actually broke through the blinkers would not even work so I had to solder it back together. I guess if you have LED's at all locations front and rear like me you need to splice in actual resistors.

i need to find out what flasher ie how many pins the one my reg cab has with no dtrl's and no towing package.

i'm just trying to run regular led amber turn signals. there seems to be some question about dtrl equipped models of tacoma and non dtrl equiped models it seems they have different styles of flasher modules at least this is what i'm getting from things.

viet2100 has been using a flasher module to get his blinking correctly.

Props to the OP. Just changed every exterior light with led's minimized the shunt in the flasher and it works like a charm. Front and rear.
    Thanks again

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/119640-electronic-flasher-09-tacoma-led-install-2.html

here is the thread viet2100 seems to recommending an 8 pin flasher module? this is what he said he was using i obviously need the 4 led flasher but, this confused me as i was operating under the impression that the tacomas flasher module was a 12 pin unit:confused:

i called napa auto parts and told them my make and model year and vehicle info told them what i was trying to do and they ordered me a 12 pin led flasher but, it's 50 dollars while others are like 10 to 20 dollars i'm not sure if it will even work but, i guess there is only one way to find out.

Used stock flasher with the OP instruction on grinding down the resister. Worked like a charm. Hardest part was finding the flasher but another poster had good advice turn on you flasher and listen for the clicking. Used superbright led's they have a drop down menu to get everything you need.

Congrats on getting it to work. I have the same truck and wasn't able to. Did you grind down in one place on the loop or even as much as you could? Is there anyway you can take a pic of the end product?

i bought putco 360 leds for all the turn signals 6 bulbs in total my bulbs are not wired like the op's bulbs so modifying the stock resistor is not going to work for me.

i either need to use the resistors which i really don't want to do or i have to replace the flasher unit completely.

    lol i need halp!

i just got off the phone with napa auto parts and apparently the led flasher module they have for me was originally for a cadillac.

the guy also said that it was the only 12 pin led flasher he has listed in any book! lol thats not to say someone else might not have one but if the caddy one does not work and if thats all that a national parts chain like napa can get it's not looking good.

i believe i see just barley see it when i twist my body under there. how does the module come out though i have tried pulling on it and it seems very resistant to being removed!

the piece i'm talking about is on the back side of the interior fuse panel and it's light gray in color and what writing i could make out on it say's max 4 bulbs i'm assuming this is the flasher module caribe was talking about i'm just having a problem actually removing it now lol.

i don't want to muscle it but, if it just pulls out then i'll know i just need more elbow grease but, if i pull to hard i'm worried about breaking something.
