    Hey guys,

i have always wanted led bulbs in my truck specially the headlights but quickly learned that it doesn't work in a second gen headlights, ended up blinding people and the beams were everywhere, so quickly changed them back to stock and super disappointed.

today i learned that vled has new bulbs that online says they work with all head lights including open reflector. just wondering if anyone has bought these and worked or they are just putting in the description that "they work "

heres they link and just let me know what you think

So let me answer your question with a question. Why do you want LED headlights? Lots of folks seem to want them "because they look cool." That's not the same as "getting more usable light on the ground where you can use it." And that's exactly why every replacement LED bulb I've seen or tried fails - miserably in most cases.

BTW, my son bought a set of the bulbs you mentioned and although they were medium impressive on low beam in his Scion xB (which also uses a 9003 bulb), the high beams were pretty lame. And they still have way too much glare for oncoming drivers if you ask me. Oh, and did anybody mention that they cost $175 freaking dollars? On a "dollars per output" scale, that's still highway robbery.

Lol yes I know it’s a lot of money for bulbs but basically my whole truck is led and just wanted to finish it off. Basically really want them so I can see better I have PIAA bulbs right now and they are good but not the greatest when it’s crappy weather and night time, so have switch back turn signals and would be nice to match them. Was just wondering if anyone has tried them.

Interesting, these could work with my TacomaBeast lights which don't have reflector bowls. I'm with you OP, all my forward lights are LED except the headlights. The halogens aren't that great without reflectors behind them, so these may work better. But yeah, $175 ouch.

Yup, and the OP should really do some searching in the Lighting section here. I think you're going to find that LEDs - particularly in a housing designed for halogens - just don't have the throw / reach of a good halogen setup or HID retrofit. I have crashnburn80's Ultimate Headlight Upgrade in my 2014 and it'll flat out spank any LED you can slap in.

ALMOST... Since OP asked about headlights, should probably steer him to The ultimate headlight upgrade H4 (not LED or HID) too.

    THAT should END THREAD/

Just do a HID retrofit, dont waste time on LEDs in stock housing, its not going to be good. If you DIY it, its pretty affordable to do. I even did a full RGB demon eye setup while i had them apart.

I do recall that someone on here did a LED post about how installing a shield over some of the led bulb helped the lighting from blinding people. Which this product has already on it , i am not trying to make this a endless post or end it just looking if anyone bought them or tired them

and i am not going to mod anything with wiring, i don't trust myself in wiring up things, last time i did that ended up with a $500 bill to fix my f up

Most States those HID's are not legal for street use. Just do the Ultimate Headlights and be done with it.
