Any walk through/ tips on what would be most convenient as far as install? The research I've been doing isn't a simple "remove bulb and replace" as I thought it would be. Thanks.

There's that (remove bulb replace with new) and there's a small box that has a fused power supply that your OEM wire plugs into. This gets wire tied in the engine compartment somewhere out of the way...

Plug OEM harness to power supply, plug power supply harness (same as OEM) into new bulb..

The harder one is the fog light.. easiest if you take off your front grill (10 minutes for that) and do the same install as the headlights and high beams.

Very simple taking the bulbs out. When you put these leds in, you have to take the two screws out of the top of the headlights so you can move them forward just slightly about a 1/4" to get the led bulb if but there is just enough room to do so once you do that!

You got a picture of the screws? It is just the screws to hold the housing on the frame or is it inside of the housing itself? Did you get the extra anti flicker with the bulbs?

I’ve been deciding to switch to either led bulbs or hid. Not to sure on what the difference or perks would be if anyone has any recommendations or input.

These pics are they just of the low beam or the low beam & fog lights on at the same time? I switched mine over to led and unless I'm driving with both low & fog on I can't see anything, the projectors don't seem to want to throw the light that well. Considering switching to a higher end led or trying hid's, read somewhere that these headlight housings throw hid light better then led light.

HIDs are going to be a lot better of an upgrade if you're looking for a drop in kit. Now, if you plan to cut the headlights open and retrofit in a legit LED projector, then you could do that and get good output. Still not as good as retrofitting in an actual HID projector that used a d2s bulb.....as far as drop in kit though, go HID.

I LOVE my Tacoma but really not a fan of the yellow lights. The DRL leds are so sexy! How much would it cost me to switch to HIDs?

It's internal design. I've seen output from a legit LED projector, and aftermarket kits dropped into halogen projectors. Big difference. HID still takes the cake though. Even a drop in HID kit in a halogen projector is still probably better than oem LED headlights lol. At least as far as width and distance is concerned. Now color? That's a diff story.

Thanks for the input. We have a hid shop right around the corner and they lifetime their products and it’s only $35. Wasn’t sure if i wanted To buy expensive led bulbs or just pick up these hid kits.

Any fear of mud/water/dirt getting into the cooling fans of these LED lights after a serious day of Off-roading?
