Here's a great comparison between the Xtreme Pro LED kit (left) and Opt7 LED kit (Right)...

How long have these LEDs lasted and has heat been an issue for the lens or silicone cover?

I've had Opt7 fluxbeams in my lows and fogs for just over 2 years now. I've had one of each go out. Fan stops and the diode burns out. They only covered one under warranty. They claim to be good for 50,000hrs but mine had less than 1000hrs runtime before they shot craps. Stock halogens last longer. I'll be looking for something else.

The Opt7 are just a poor quality bulb. Most of the bulb is made from plastic and the have a poor beam pattern. I've been running Beamteck bulbs for a few years and no issues.

Good to know. Yeah. It seems like the price point for truly good LEDs is still too high ($100s). Tried some from Amazon this am and visibility was very poor. Pulled back in garage and went back to halogens. The LEDs we're very hot even at a 3 minute run.

Try the beamtech's that are sold on Amazon $37. Good beam pattern and bright.

I’m happy with the Beamtech H11s in the headlight. I just ordered the H11 fog lights. If they are anything like the headlights it will be awesome.

We rated the Xtreme LED Pro kit for 50,000 hours. As for the heat, they have patented aluminum alloy leaf passive heatsink which is compact and readily configurable design allows for an easy fit in most any headlamp housing, and with its much larger contiguous thermal path, it does a better job shedding heat off the LEDs than past-type flexible mesh heat sinks. This results, no heat issues for your headlights and housing.

These are the best bang for the buck. They are a little brighter than the beamtech and a touch more expensive.

I have been using these for the past few months. They look great, but the throw is not much more than stock halogens. It is mostly a color upgrade imo. My xenondepot hid kit on my rsx was way better. Im just waiting to see what xenondepot has for black friday sales, if low enough I will grab a kit. If not I am going to give morimoto a try. (they sell on ebay and ebay runs 15% off coupons very often)

I have a 2020 with LED DRL but halogen fog and halogen headlights.. I would like to purchase a replacement / plug and play led bulbs for my fogs, so they will match the DRL. It's been a minute since I was active on these boards but back in the day Diode Dynamics were the go to. I see they offer LED plug and play fog light bulbs for my truck but no headlights. I messaged them about seeing a thread on here where someone had purchased replacement LED headlights and fog lights from them. I received a reply "that based on testing and user experiences, we are aware that our SL1 LED bulbs will fit and function inside most headlamp housings without any issue. However, please be aware that we now oiffer the SL1 exclusively for fog lamps, due to current federal regualtions."

So, i'm fine with leaving my headlights halogen but would still like to convert the halogen fog lamps to LED, is Diode Dynamics still the go to choice? Also, my need is strictly for on road driving, and they offer like 7 different bulbs... can anyone point towards the model that will closest match the OEM LED DRL ?

    Thanks.
