    @TRSAndrew

    You have done this for the 3rd gen using the Morimoto XB LED housings, and they look fantastic! Why not do this for the 2nd gen and show this crowd some love? I'm really tired of the craptastic options we have and I really don't feel like messing with an HID retrofit setup as nice as they are.

    EDIT: Scratch that, I'm waiting for a day which'll never come. I'll just make my own luck.

    I know right? Everyone acts like the 3rd gen is the only gen out there now when there are a boatload of 1st and 2nd gens still out there. The tech is changing to more solid state technology like LEDs which is awesome and I love LED lighting. I feel like the older gens are in a serious need of a tech update. Particularly in the lighting department.

    I asked this to him long ago before the 3rd Gen Morimotos were shipping, and pointed out many 2nd Gens need new housings anyway. It would be awesome for a plug and play 2nd Gen LED option. The response I received was not likely, but they might offer it as a retrofit kit. But a retrofit kit takes away the plug and play appeal.

    I've seen a lot of 2nd gen retrofits and they look great. But overall have the same look with a few slight differences. It would be nice to see something new similar to the ones they made for the 3rd gen that's plug and play. They would have TONS of 2nd gen drivers that would be down for ppurchase.So there's definitely a market. Dont know why they wouldn't tap that market

    Whoever makes the 2nd gen plug and play LED projectors is going to be swimming in la cashola. The 2nd gen market is an untapped resource as of right now for LED housing projectors.

    Actually, thinking about it a little bit an LED retrofit would not be difficult by utilizing Morimoto XB LED projector lights, black out the entire housing internals and then just place a quad stack right where the old halogen reflector used to sit. Two will run during low beam operation and two will run during high beam projection.

    Either get rid of the turn signal location, or use it and use a similar style to the 3rd gen and the Dodge Charger by using two diffused bars, one at the top and one at the bottom of the housing and make them switchback LEDs that change from white to orange either in conjunction with the turn signal or if the turn signal was removed, these will take it's place.

    In theory, this setup would look and operate pretty wicked! Come on @hyper15125 or @TRSAndrew dewww eettttt!!!

    You should follow Meso's headlight builds, anything you can think of, he has likely already done.

    Bumping this thread so everyone with a second gen can get their pitchforks out to force the aftermarket to build us a QUALITY LED housing assembly.

    A setup like that would look wicked with a quad setup LED projector!

    I should investigate doing a retrofit since no one has made them for our trucks yet. Though I'm sure it would be an incredibly expensive project.
