I'm trying to figure out what you're saying here to help you out but I'm a little lost. Where do phase relationships come into play on a DC circuit are you talking about polarity? Also from what I am imagining there is no need for a load resistor to be added in-line because if hyper flashing would be an issue you'd see it on the normal turn signal, perhaps I'm wrong but I assume the driver for the LED takes care of that for you already. I believe you'd only need a single relay with like 3 contacts or something I haven't thought too hard on it. If you want to shoot me a pm we can talk about it further and I'll draft up some possible solutions for you.

@RoostrC0gburn Here it is. A lower time on the Time Delay On Release Relay would probably be good. It just has to be longer than the time that the turn signal is "off" between flashes, which is less than a second. Now, if you used a 2 second one for example It's just going to delay the time for it to go back to being a parking light as opposed to a turn signal by that additional 1+ seconds. I hope that makes sense? But doing it this way will give you WHITE DRL (100% or 50%, depending on how you want it) 150% AMBER TURN signal and 50% AMBER parking light. If anyone can think of a simpler way, I'm open to suggestions.

@caribe makaira since we were talking sidemarkers as turn signals in the other thread, want to throw your input here? I would have just linked this thread in the other thread, but I don't know how....

Damn @caribe makaira , I knew you'd find an easier way! Color coded and everything! @RoostrC0gburn Using Caribe Makaira's diagram here would work for what you want to do. Where he has the wire running to the marker, run that to the yellow LED driver wire. Then do what you'd like with the White portion of the DRL. I bet if you ask him real nice, he'll even tell you where the hell C11 is :p

C11 is the connector to the combination switch...light stalk on the steering wheel...

Pretty excited to see the video of what you all come up with. Like watching the guys who ride at Mavericks. Impressive scheming!

I definitely would prefer some slick amber / white combo action but I’m probably too scared to crack my headlights.

Me too, but I usually start out that way and then end up doing it. This one though, I'll just pay for @no vtec 4me experience. The way I'm leaning right now is using the stage 3 plastics with stage 1 and stage 2 LED bars. I'll put the stage 1 in the middle, and stage 2 on top/bottom. All three at 50% (maybe 100%? I'll decide when I install them) WHITE DRL, center AMBER 50% parking, top/bottom 100% AMBER turn signal. But, I tend to change my mind a lot...

Try it using the turn signal bulb, change it to a switchback. On with DRL, so they turn OFF also when Low Beam is selected.

I technically own OEM LED headlights. They just happen to be in the possession of crashnburn80 for testing. I drool over MESO LED headlights but I quake at the thought of cracking a $700 assembly open. I’m scared enough just doing JB Weld on my overhead switch plate.

I will observe the punter of puppies and work up the nerve. Meanwhile Mr Caribe will be my safety net (and everyone else’s) when we get in over our heads.

What a great place this TW forum is.

@MESO any idea when stage 2 switchback might be back in stock? looks like these might be on a 6-month restock cycle?

Sorry, I was thinking @RoostrC0gburn asked this originally. He was nice enough to point out it was actually you, so I just wanted to make sure you saw there were answers. Caribe Makaira's answer is definitely the best IMO, but you'll have to tap wires back to the steering wheel. If you don't want to do that, you could wire it the way I proposed just making adapters so nothing has to be tapped permanently. That being said, it's complicated and expensive (Time delay relays are $25ish a piece, plug the parts to make the harness. You'll definitely be $100 into it, and that assumes you have the proper tools). But there are ways to do it.

I would love if if there was a youtube video or picture post, power point style that shows how to install my Meso stage 1 switchback side markers. Wiring/electrical is not something I am good with, and I can’t find any info on how to connect these. I just want to connect them to function as simply as possible. Any help or links to posts or info would be greatly appreciated. I’ve seen some electrical schematic type drawings on here but i might as well be reading heiroglyphics.

Anyone willing looking to trade an amber strip for the switchback? I accidentally ordered the switchbacks when I need just amber.

You will be fine just hooking up the amber lead. You don't have to utilize the switchback function.

Or if you really wanted amber only, you can buy the 3” amber led strips from diode dynamics and replace the switchbacks. It’ll cost you $80 though.
