I agree with the others, the LED headlights on my Sport are easily the best headlights I've ever had on a vehicle (and I've had a lot).

If you take it slow and easy and follow the youtube videos (and watch 'em before you start) you should be able to knock them out in a morning or an afternoon. None of the job is difficult but it can still be challenging in spots. The biggest challenge is properly aligning them once they're in.

For the record (and not to derail), the GTR ultra 2s are pretty awful. Bright yes, but not focused at all which is far more important. See review in post #2816 here.

As others have mentioned OEM LED is worth it, but you can certainly add them after the fact, it will just cost about $1k more than getting them with the truck. You can sell your OEM halogen assemblies to help offset some of the cost.

the oem leds are worth the hassle to find on a 2023, they will also be under warranty, find one, fly there, road trip home with your new ride

I've had both. LED's are worlds better. So much more enjoyable than the standard bulbs that I still get a kick out of it when the LED light up at night.

I perfer OEM LED Headlights output, it was only a $500 upgrade package when I brought mine well worth it. Also true that some dealer has very little techincal knowledge and confused about LED DRL in Headlight with LED Headlight itself.
The LED fog lights are White color and has integrated LED bulb that is not replace-able. Not bright enough for off-road use.

After 110k on my '21 with the LED lights, I could not go back to halogens. When I drive my wife's Odyssey at night, Im constantly checking to see if the lights are actually on.

Most aftermarket LEDs just scatter light like crazy. Look at every second shit box you see with Amazon LEDs. It's terrible lol. They had a clean cut off line so I liked them. Live and learn

Just to get it out there ... Morimoto LEDs? Seems a semi-popular choice in TW.

2021 Tacoma, metallic gray, LED headlights. Talon's Garage cat shield
Traffic lights with LED can't melt the accumulated snow on them and can get covered over. I'm a thermal guy and LED are blessings in a hot situation and a PITA in a cold situation.

So you're saying the Hikari bulbs are about as good as OEM LED?

There's solutions to that. It's just a matter of if they want to spend the money or not. Even with heaters, they still use less energy than traditional bulbs.

I will buy in Louisiana where I can get the LED Headlights and not have to deal with Southeast Toyota

Just do not use I-20 in Louisiana. When moving cross-country I drove a 20-ft u-haul on I-20. Had to slow down to 20 MPH at times because the interstate was (still is?) abhorrent. I joked to the people at the very first rest stop inside Texas that I was going to run fast west before LA-DOT took over Texas interstates ... they were not exactly amused.
