Has anyone installed a LED light strip under their hood? I've seen them advertised on Instagram and they look pretty cool IMO. The primary product seems to be Silverholder, but there's several less expensive options for less than $20. They all seem to have the same animation upon startup.

It seems like a cool and cheap mod but haven't found any pics online of them on a Taco. Am I the only one that thinks this is cool or is it just another cheesy cheap mod?

Leveled with Bilstein 5100 shocks, Falken Rubitrek AT 265/75 tires, Redline hood struts, R4T tailgate lock, Matt Gecko LED strips in bed and under hood, WeatherTech hood guard, OEM bed mat, Husky floor mats, Carhart seat covers, Grille replacement with Toyota letters, Sony AX6000 head unit, OTT lite/mild tune, and an occasional splash of fuel additive.
I have a strip under hood and another strip along top edge of truck bed. Don’t use them too much but have been handy when I want light. I bought mine from the Gecko LED site.

I have seen YouTube on it, one had panel switch the other a pressure switch. You’ll want to make a decision on that.

I mocked it up but can't decide if I want to keep it or not. Here's a gif of what it looks like https://imgur.com/gallery/X2Hq1T9 . What do y'all think?

The dark areas are from the masking tape so it will be solid once fully installed.

I know that wasn’t what I was picturing when you said LED hood light strip. I think at least some of us thought you meant engine bay illumination under the hood.
Neat! It’s definitely unique. Multi color?
