My set came from www.ijdmtoy.com today. I sprung for the vanity mirrors and license plate bulbs too.

I'm going to wait until this weekend to pop them in, but everything came as ordered. I swapped out my bulbs for LED's in my last vehicle and it's amazing what a difference it makes.

Can't wait to see how this set looks.

Got these installed in about 15 mins this morning. They turned out great. As others have said, easiest way to install the map lights is to pull the whole head unit down out of the headboard. It feels like you might break something at first, but just start at the front driver's corner, pull straight down and work your way around. It just pops right back in.

So, to everyone who has done a full interior, and maybe a license plate light swap, I have to ask; what's the verdict? I've read a thread about someone who swapped them, and said every now and then he would blow a fuse because of them. Logic would make me think that he didn't purchase the correct specs when he was shopping for LED's, but just want to know if anyone has had them for a long while with no issue.

This is something I REALLY want to do, but just want to see what the general consensus has to say about their experience.

    Thanks in advance, gents!

no way LEDs should blow a fuse, they draw 1/8 or so of the power that the same brightness incandescents draw.

I've put LEDs in my map lights and central dome light on my 2008 AC. the dome light is too cold-white, I need to find something warmer... I might even go for an amber light, I put some amber lights in my camper and rather like them.

I switched the map lights, vanity lights, dome light, fog lights, brake lights and license plate lights about a month ago and haven't had any problems.

I installed led map lights today and they seem to be working just fine. I used CWHP15-TAC from superbrightleds.com I remove the overhead console and replaced then from the back.

I swapped out the vanity lights, map lights, dome in the rear cab and license plate on the exterior and it's flawless. I purchased from ijdmtoy.com and they were great. Cost me approximately $30 shipped for all the lights with a promo code. The lights match the soft white on the rear cargo light on the exterior of the cab and dim up and down when locking and unlocking the truck. So much brighter and so much cleaner looking. It's a no brainer.

My ijdmtoy vanity lights don't quite match the rest of the LED from them...is anyone else having this issue? Xenon white.

I've only installed the dome and map lights, but I'm very happy with them, I can now see to the bottom of my center console.

    none yet :)
OK, I finally did mine today. I took someone's advice from earlier and bought the 90 degree 'Pick' for the map lights...I tried without and tried the duct tape, scotch tape, none of it worked.(not a shocker for me, I'm not the most mechanically inclined person) Used the pick - and they came out in 2 seconds. Had some issues with the vanity mirrors on the visor, but eventually, they worked....and yes, I did blow the fuse...it's a 7.5amp shorty...drove over to Autozone - popped a new one in and ready to go. I swapped map lights, dome lights, vanity lights, and license plate lights - all are running fine - no more shorts. Honestly, I think I bumped the pick on the metal connectors, and that's what did it. I'm a moron when it comes to this stuff, and I did it in 20 min - Thanks to everyone's feedback here. :) Oh, I bought all my lights from the superbrightleds.com Including the fog lights -- but I haven't attempted those yet... Any advice on removing the fog lights -- I can see up in there (laying on the ground under the front bumper) , but the black fender well is in the way....there are a couple of screws to remove -- does it pull back? Or go in from the top? Can someone share how you accomplished the fog light action? Thanks!

I recently swapped out the three interior lights with Philips LEDs. They work great as far as lighting up the cabin. The only issue I have is I notice that if I push one of the buttons on the overhead console, like the locker button or the traction control button, the map light LEDs flicker. I have also noticed this sometimes when I activate my windshield wipers they do the same thing. Anybody else notice this? Maybe its just something with the Philips leds.

That is common regardless of the make of the LED. In simple terms - It takes very little current through the LED to make it start to make light. When a switch is turned on/off there is a bit of a 'bounce' creating a small voltage 'spike'. Think of it as a mini spark. Its especially noted if you are turning off (or on) an electromagnetic load - things like motors or solenoids - wiper motor, fan blower, door locks, etc. as these make a larger voltage spike. This short duration voltage can create enough current flow through the LED to make it light up. Your eye will notice any anomoly slower than 1/50th of a second.

finally found the magic trick to remove the OEM map lights, packing tape wrapped around the bulb worked like a charm. Cab light is much improved with dome and map lights converted over to led
