I just got my 2020 MGM DCLB Off-Road and I want to upgrade the interior lighting asap. I read thru the thread and there are some suggestions, but I want to get the lasted opinions on this. Who makes the best LEDs upgrade kit for our trucks? I don't mind if it cost a bit more, but I want nice bright 6000k lights that last for the life of the truck (buy once cry once lol).

As the thread says, MESO makes the best interior lights. In that colour temperature also.

I purchased these but without a picture of the actual LED bulbs you receive. This kit includes 4 LED visor mirror, 1 LED dome, 2 LED map and 2 LED license plate lights. The LED lights for the license plate look like the LED map lights and are packed/labeled license plate only. All of these LED lights have a polarity meaning they need to be inserted correctly If the do not light up you need to rotate 180 degrees.

These LED lights were very bright but not extreme to the point of too bright.

I did the Fyres from Amazon in my 20 as well because of a post here and very happy with them. Wanted to keep the stock look because I don’t like the MESO version. I did the 5050 kit though.

For $15, it was worth the upgrade and I can think about if I want to do anything else.

I’m unsure, but I thought I heard installing these interior LED lights could affect other lights within the truck’s system. Namely the headlights/fog lights.

I only had my truck for a month before installing some cheap-o Amazon interior LED’s. So, I’m unsure if its because of them or something else entirely, but I’m having a random flicker from one of the exterior headlights. Anyone words of wisdom on this?

Changing the interior lights is straight forward. When you get into turn signals and side marker lights the electrical system does light checking and expects to see a halogen filament draw an expected current. When this check fails the electrical system indicates an error that a light is not working. The term is called hyper flash and warning. There is a fix for this and a load resistor need to be installed across each light base. the resistor emulates the halogen filament during the electrical check. Your internal LED lights will not affect your fog lights or headlights. I would check that your bulbs are firm in the bases in the headlights.

Scotch tape on cold bulb as you already know they get hot fast. Use short piece trying to wrap the bulb. Will probally take a number of tries to get it to stick for the downward pull. You may have trouble inserting the LED light, it should be flat side towards windshield.

Is the placement of the dome light over the rear seats standard across the 20 line? My 19 SR5 has the dome light rather uselessly over the front seats.

Meso Custom not only offers a great product but backs it up with amazing customer support. I bought the rear dome light and the bulb adapter didn’t fit. Toyota has a very poorly designed bulb holder for this type of bulb and MESO Custom immediately had a solution in my hands.
I’ve bought a lot LED’s for my RV and learned a lot about lumens and color temps, Meso’s light is the right color and really bright. The shape of the ceiling keeps the light from glaring in your eyes but the light is very bright and completely lights the back seat.

I have a sun roof that opens therefore the dome is over the back seats. The 2020 SR5 double cab dome is center the cab and 2020 access cab is over rear area. Both domes are behind front head rests.

I would have preferred something in the 4000K range with high CRI, though I knew what I was buying and I love the look of MESO’s lights.

MESO only sells the dome light according to their website. I want to upgrade ALL of my interior lights, as well as the license plate and reverse lights.

He also sells map lights, so I'm not sure where he's getting that he only sells dome lights.

Meso interior led lights were too bright for me. I purchased Phillips led bulbs at a local parts store and they are just fine.
