I completely support chinese factories. They are like little robots. I like robots.

 

Im glad everyone likes there Rigid products. Rigid is continuously changing product and coming out with new things to keep people on there toes. As for the patents they have to be changed by 15% on the optics. Totally understandable if you cant afford Rigid Lights. I will work on some sort of deal with SoCalTacos since he wants the Rigid lights without the big price. Rigid appeals to the higher end of the market. Rigid Industries has many options from the Duallys to the SR-Series. Which is more affordable and your not giving up the quality that has been come expected from them.

They may be made in the US but what about the components

 

Patents last 17-20 years and can be renewed. Your open to your opinion on buying from overseas. I would rather my money go back to America and help this economy. As for Rigid Lights they are made right here in the USA. Everything from the housings to circuit boards. The only thing that isnt, is the LED. Our LEDs come from Germany NOT China. The reason is no one makes a LED in North America.

Overseas manufacturing also generally has _significantly_ higher environmental impact than that done here in the US. It's part of what makes our manufacturing costs higher, but you're less likely to kill a village's worth of idiots while making $20 DVD players for Americans.

 

Any update on a potential GB for rigid lights?

 

Nah..neither he or the VP of sales contacted me regarding it. Oh well...they might be doing enough business to not need yours...you should call them and ask what happened to the gb.

Hey guys, just an update....
I haven't yet heard anything from RI...however I have found other manufacturers with all types of led lighting products.
They have all shapes and sizes...1w to 10w leds, in all types of colors. If anyone is interested in a particular style, size, color, watts....let me know and i can get a custom price quoted.
