    LED interior, fog light mod, with hyper yellow bulbs leer cap,front tow hook,zombie defense system,smitty built bull bar, 20" LED light bar,12v accessory power supply in cap, rear facing led lights for trailer illumination (tying down quads etc)
    does anyone know if i can buy a light bar with a dimmer switch?
    i know at first it might sound dumb dimming the lights, but i am thinking it would be cool if i could do it on special situations like out at camp or the drive in, where you dont want the full intensity but just enough light to move around.

    I think some of the higher brands (Rigid) have switches for multiple output types (spot/flood/strobe) but I personally haven't heard of a dimmer. Maybe you can have a single row of four 6" lights and switch them on individually or in pairs.

    Originally that was the case, but there are now LEDs that dim. Although I really doubt that offroad lighting manufacturers are putting dimmables in their bars.

    Baja Designs LEDs dim. At least their OnX lights do. I have the 8" on my dirt bike and it dims down to about 50%, I believe with their mode switch. I think their other model lights do too, but not completely sure.

    Tribalwhips.com offers a courtesy dimming function on their light bars. Reduces light output down to 10%. Really nice option.

    Yes! Been looking for this! I know vision x has dimming circuitry built into their bars too. But did not want to pay ridiculous $ for one of their bars even though they're awesome. Hmm.. Idk though. Because I have multiple bars wired in series with my high beams. Over 500 watts. So I'd have to get two of these switches. Or just use it for a couple of my smaller flood bars. Hmmm..

    Will that work?? Looks like it's designed for rc motors? I assume it's just a simple voltage controller though, so it should work. Idk how that shit works though, lol.

    Hi, I'm DJ and I'm new to this site and I am very interested in this thread.

    I am currently working on a dimmer for the light bars on my dune buggy. My goal is to have enough control of the lights to be able to use them for a work light or even to light up my camp site.

    I am also going to include an SOS function. These lights can be seen for miles so I think this could be a useful function.

    If my design works well, I intend to create a product that I can sell on the internet. I expect the retail price to end up between $50 and $80, probably right in the middle.

    Do you think this would be a marketable product?

    Are there any functions that you think would be valuable?

    I would really appreciate any comments on this project.
