    I'm not sure that a wired version really needs the added cost and complexity of being removable with battery backup, or even to have brightness adjustments, since you're powering it from the instrument light circuit, which has it's own dimmer. I'm thinking maybe a lower cost, no frills, hardwired option.
    Great idea though, and the quality looks great. I wish more accessory manufacturers made as much effort to make the product look like it came with the vehicle as you apparently have.
    How about some matching, wired foot well lights?
