Thanks for the clarification on that. I was a tad curious as to the price difference. Thanks for the video and the links. Way better understanding of it all now! I'll order 2 sets of those Hikari's then rather then 1 of each type that had been previously mentioned.

Not sure if this was said before, but i want to switch my basic SR5 tail lights out with a TRD led pair. Is there extra wiring that needs to be done?

Welcome to the forum Josh :hattip:I'm no expert but if the assembly fits, it should just be plug-n-play.

Reach out to @MESO and see what he says. He might have a fix if your plan won't work.

    Welcome to the forum! :hattip:

The ballast's can be hung freely behind the headlights or they can be adhered to any part of the frame with (seriously strong) double face tape. Mine are hanging. Let yours hang.

It's always better to ask when you don't know. Not needing to ask "what do I do now" is always going to

Now resistors will throw off a little more warmth so a lot of people mount them right to the sheet metal. You can do the same but it's not required. It all depends on how neat you want it to look. If I was reaching behind mine more I would probably tighten it up but as it is, meh.

There are some great LED headlight bulbs out there these days. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg either.

I'm currently running a two year old Hikari, and they still deliver. They have a newer model I would like to try but what I have is fine, for now.

So without reading through 200+ pages, and I did go through a lot, does anyone have the scoop on some led switchback turn signals/ DRL for inside the headlight housings? I’m looking all over and maybe I don’t know what I’m looking for, but I want them to be white LED, and then hit the turn signal and they’re amber.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum :hattip:. Brett @Parker315 has some bad ass LEDs that do what you're asking.

    Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade all of my headlights (highs, lows and fogs) to replace the stock lights on my 2019 Sport. I am looking for something that is strictly plug and play (I don't mind cutting off tabs or anything like that) and something that is far better than the awful lights that are on the truck now (especially the low beams). Any recommendations would be great. Thank you!

I just took delivery of my shiny new 2022 SR5 Taco 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure what type of headlights the stock units are. What's out there for the 22 SR5 in the way of light upgrades? Thanks in advance for your advice!:)
