I highly recommend JDM Astar for LED bulbs I used them on my 06 Tacoma, my dads car, my moms and most important my 2017 Tacoma. The head light fog light I am running for all 4 was 100 bucks for 4000 lumens 6500k they have even better ones just to help out here.

My question is did you have a hyper blink issue with the turn signal?

I just put these auxbeams in. We'll see how they look.

One of them was a flipping pain to put in, but the rest went in real easy.

Also replaced the front blinkers with JDM AStar.

Oh and the fins on the linked Auxbeams above are sharp lol...careful with them.

I installed Hikari low beams today. I have LED fogs too, but I'm waiting until my bumper comes in to install.

Well, it looks like I will be ordering some led low beams soon. My ole trusty hid's let me down for the first time... Ever. I am out of town visiting family, when I noticed the passenger side light beam looked funny. I investigated to find the bulb was fixing to fall out of the housing. The bulb got so hot, the metal prongs that screw into the housing had come undone from the plastic base of the bulb. The prongs are still in the housing, that's a project for another time. Bad thing is, I had to spend $38 on halogen bulbs at AutoZone to get me by while out of town.

It seems like the Hikari bulbs are pretty cost effective, and the output is somewhere between 35w hid and oem halogen? I may be ordering in a set tomorrow, these halogen bulbs make night driving pretty tough.

    One of the re
One of the reasons I went with the led bulbs. I always found I had issues with the ballasts of fairly expensive hid kits. Never had a bulbs meltdown. The led's I have are plenty bright with less wiring and the instant on for the high beams is nice.

I think of snow covered tail lights the the same way I do big piles of snow on the roof of vehicles drivers don’t clean off before they drive off.

    Driver error.

I tried hid high beams once, and it was awful. I won't do that again, unless it's a bixenon setup.

    What bulbs are you using?

These are similar to the ones I'm using. The are adjustable and you can focus the light for the best pattern.

Couldn’t find an answer on this/no response, so I’m going to be the guinea pig. VLED Micros in the mail and should arrive on the 4th. I plan on only switching the low beams out for LEDs currently, if there is any impact on the TSS stuff I’ll keep you all updated.

Pics when you get it going please.

Which K did you go with? I have a 35W HID kit installed but was thinking of going micros for High beams for now, or just yanking the HIDs and going micro in both. Seems silly to pull them now.

My Triton V6 preorder shipped today so that’s awesome as well. Will be able to answer the question about Hyperflashing shortly.

I'm running all leds in my '18 and the LDA and radar cruise work as intended.

I went with 5k. I plan on using micros for the lows, and will probably keep the highs Halogen.
I’m interested to hear what the Triton V6 is like. Did you go with solid amber or the switchbacks?

So weird experience with my HIDs...I've got 55w HID's in my low beams and haven't had an issue with them since I got them. With winter now here, the weather has been in the high 30s low 40s and I have noticed that my HIDs take a long time to power on....sometimes not at all until I hit a bump and then they kick on....does anyone know why this is happening? Does the cold weather affect the ballasts or bulbs? @TRSAndrew any ideas?

    I’d love to see pics.

Solid Amber as my Pro has LED DRLs already. Switchback wouldn’t provide any function for me.

I’m in a place colder than TX and I’ve never had that happen.

Ya, I've had many hid kits in much colder temps than that with no issues. It sounds like with the cooler weather, things shrunk up a bit and you have am intermittent connection somewhere. The bump gives enough connectivity to kick them on.

Hmmmm weird...I might just switch to LEDs and see if there’s any difference or continues to happen. Any recommendations as to which to get? I’d like opt7s but not down to pay the $90....maybe something that comes close? Auxbeam? Any off of Amazon?

Don't do the opt7s. They are made from plastic and the light pattern is poor. The Auxbeam is a better choice.

Generally no. I've had confirmed uses in -40 temps without any problems, just a slight slower startup. Sounds like you have a connection issue if you hit a bump and the lights do anything at all because of it.
