All giddy tonight. My Hikari high beam bulbs should be here by 10 a.m. so I guess now will go full led with bright yellow signal lights with resistors to match my BD fogs. Then everything up front will be led. Next is researching tail light led bulbs. Only have reverse led bulbs now. Might go ahead and do the full turn/brake light mod too. Then I don't know. LED oil filter ? :notsure:

Maybe it's time to start a mesojdm forum. Will save us wear and tear on our mice and keyboards bouncing around threads on TW. Unless me-so is now making ulimate mice and keyboards too. I can see a mouse with a red led left, white led right and an amber led me-so button.

Was wondering the same but figured you were too cool for us here that you needed your own thread...you’re work is too great for us sir...this thread is for poor people hahaha! But now that you’re here the stage is yours! Can I get a link for these awesome side view turn signals I’m hearing rumors about coming next week to a theatre near you?

I know, right?! I just thought that drop-in replacement stuff was too easy for you. Figured you were too busy scheming up new & awesome designs to keep us all smiling in this win-win-win scheme of yours. We win with awesome upgrades, you win our money (and respect), and Toyota wins because it's one less thing we end up bitching about. :D

Thanks, but now that I have a good idea when to watch the thread, plus knowing that he made a pretty big batch this time, I think I'll be alright. :fingerscrossed:

Speaking of fogs.......I found a $40.00 off coupon code to use for some Morimoto XB Fogs on their website.

    TWLEDFOGS

So I bought a set! Let the games begin.

I just really like everything about these and especially how the look when off.

That's great Rob. I nearly bought a pair last year. I had amber led bulbs in my fogs and really liked the color. That steered me towards BD but they are over the top expensive. That tint color will look good on inferno. The most important thing is you will finally have fogs that provide better night vision. The stock fogs are adequate but should have been better. I am surprised how easy it is to swap fogs. No need to remove anything except the bezels. Can all be done from the top.

Had another set of Hikari bulbs on the porch this morning. Will install in high beams today. Anxious for some night shots.

    Yea, I'm stoked! :goingcrazy:

I'm really trying to go blacked out as much as possible and with reputation and warranty on these I figured for the money it was a good deal.

I saw blacked out fog housings on eBay that were under 50 bucks but then add 90 for the Hikari's and you're back at 130ish.

The Morimoto review pics I saw were blowing me away.

I plan on adjusting them low enough so they have the same foreground and side illumination as the OEM fogs. Ultimately I will be adding the Phillips Hikari's to the lows and highs.

@pdenajim bought some Pro headlights on eBay that have enough black and look great. Or I can do the OEMassive light.

I also saw some Pro tails on eBay that look good. But I'll check with @mesojdm on his when I'm finally at that point. The Winjets are an option too but now there are some condensation issues cropping up.

I wish money wasn't an object but it is so I'll have to do this one step at a time.

Next step is the low beams for sure though.

You guys are my inspiration

I saved up and held off on buying most mods the first year. I was lurking everywhere and drooling at mods. I had a few 1st year issues and even considered buying a 4runner Pro with the 4.0 and 5 speed automatic or another F150 with the ecoboost 3.5. Fortunately I got all the bugs worked out. Then I started gradually buying stuff and occasionally doubling payments so I ended up turning my 42 month loan into 29 payments. Now with only 4 payments left the money has freed up to where I can catch up on mods I was saving up for anyway. I am still, after selling off some stock and some mod parts to help pay for others, under $35k total investment in my truck. I think I have done well to stay under that amount. The only regret I have is that I did not buy a 4x4. I was worried about mpg loss. I based that off my last 4x4 Ford which was a bad comparison. Either way I am happy with what I have. Now if I could just stop spending I might finally be done and retire.
This beast on 35's is why I was worried about 4x4 mpg (11 mpg avg):

That's heck of a success story! Thanks for sharing. My damn problem is I get bored too easy. Each time I buy a vehicle I swear it will be the last for while. Since 2000, counting this Tacoma and my Lexus I've had 10 new vehicles. Not counting 4 new Harleys. The last one was a $40k Trike I modded the heck out of.

I think though I'm finally at a point though where my vehicles will suit my needs until they stop running.

There's no need to rush anything with the Tacoma. It works as is. The lighting is something I want to do to increase the safety. The other day coming home in rain the OEM headlights just weren't cutting it on the highway with the worn paint lines and no lane reflectors. Then there's the deer up at the house. That's a big issue. Especially since these old eyes ain't getting no younger.

I hear ya on that. We have had 3 new since 2014. Now wife wants me to get her a leathered up loaded 2018 Escape Platinum and sell her 2016 base model. I told her that's fine but she will make the payments and she plans on working at least 3 more years. Only owe around $5k on hers so not a big deal. Wish we would have got a loaded model in 2016 though. Wife and daughter love Escapes. We have had 4 of them. Now oldest daughter wants a Fusion. We always just seem to get killer deals on Fords. Usually get at least $5k off sticker prices when buying in DC or MD. Wish I could do that on Yotas. We have had a Highlander, a 4runner, a Rav4, 2 Avalons and a few other Toyota cars. My son is into the WRX scene. I used to be an F150 guy but this is my 4th, and hopefully last, Tacoma. Plan on driving it at least 10 more years. Don't know of any other truck I would have except possibly a Pro 4runner. As far as bikes I had to give up bikes and clutches years ago due to 5 surgeries on feet. Can't see a bike with an automatic and my feet just cannot handle the bike weight.

Mine came in today too, are they the Hikari Philips or Cree for the high beams? I ordered two pairs of the Hikari Philips as well for HI and LOW and I'm curious to see this too.
