I don't have a good answer for you, but I will ask to provide some info on what taillight housings you're trying to install the LEDs in, and what LEDs you're attempting to use.

Are they the original factory OEM housings? New aftermarket housings (Amazon, Ebay, etc...). Some of the aftermarket housing really aren't great, and don't work out of the box.

I know some LEDs require resistors to play nice with the rest of the truck. I also know that some LEDs can be installed backward, so worth checking. Some LEDs have a resistor built in. :notsure:

If you provide some more details, someone will be able to help you get it sorted.

Ok Thanks, They are after maket housing from parts depot, LED's are from Amazon. I have tried two companys so far. They are 1157 replacements so they only go in one way. I do have a LED compatible Flasher relay installed because of hyper flashing of the othe bulbs. Hope this helps.

Most LED's will cause issues like that because of how they are connected internally.
Dual filament incandescent bulbs have 2 individual elements that are each connected to ground, the one is brighter (higher current) the other is dimmer (lower current).

Many LED's have a direct connection for the bright circuit and the dimmer circuit is connected through a resistor to a common LED or LED's and thus will backfeed voltage from one circuit to the other.
