Ditch lights I prefer flood. You want area lighting instead of a focused beam to see around the truck.

In general I like flood for how small these lights are. I you need to illuminate out far I highly suggest a bigger light.

Ok, I spoke with my supplier for almost 2 hours via chat trying to get an exact answer since there are a few variations to 4D.

The spot versions are like the photo on my site for the cart. First two photos on this post.

The "bubble" optic is a CREE variation that they don't have for OSRAM chips, however, the version I have are 4D. They just don't bubble out like that.

The floods are diffused exactly as pictured as well.

If you ordered floods and you were expecting the bubble, please let me know before Friday and I will switch you for floods or send you a refund. It wasn't perfectly clear at first so I don't want anyone to think I was being misleading. These are 4D for sure though, just not hyperspot like that.

I hope that clears that up! I did get some Cree samples though with this last shipment and they look fantastic. I can't wait to get the OSRAMs.

less than a whole day too late... haha! I'm too broke anyway but this is exactly what I'm wanting to mount under my ladder rack to light up the bed/tool box and behind my truck for backing up in precarious situations..

 

UPDATE

I just got word from the factory about my production dates. We're looking at 12 days from order date, which was Sunday (Monday China time) when everything was finalized.

So it's a bit longer than what I anticipated but apparently they are crazy busy supplying their global holiday orders.

I'll keep you all in the loop! just a minor delay.

 

But I heard and read some review about flood lights reflect to your hood that kind of affect your visual while driving ?
