I am mounting (4) to my KC light bar. I did a mod on the KC 2 Tab light bar with a 20" aluminum plate that connects between the two (2 tabs) and then mounted the (4) SPOTS in there. I hope to be mounting the KC light bar today and can share images later. Wiring to be done 17DEC as I am pending dash switches that should arrive on Tues or Wed

I used angle aluminum. Cut with a hacksaw. I used existing holes on the drivers side, but I had to drill the holes in the sheet metal on the passenger side. The passenger side sheet metal is very flimsy so the aluminum made it more rigid.

So the wires going into the switch are positive, relay, and ground... If I was to switch to a 2 terminal flip-up switch, can I make that work?

    Check out the build
Yes, just as long as the positive is being switched to the relay. The ground is for an LED light in the switch.

    Couple of questions:

What did you use for the spacers?
    Did you move your horns?

They are plastic spacers I had laying around. I have no idea what they originally went to.
Yes. I moved the horns when I installed my grill. I used existing holes and also used 1" plastic spacers for clearance, but I had to cut and extend the wiring.

Great. Thanks. I had some angle steel I'm going to copy into your bracket, but need to move the horns, avoid the trans cooler and space the lights down.

One more question: can you describe how it passes behind the latch mech? I think I'm going to have to cut some because the latch part is thick in the middle.

the spacers.. I did something similar and got some Rubber Door stops at Home Depot and drilled a hole in them for the bolt and it worked great.

The drivers side is tricky. I attached the bracket on the front side and had to drill a large hole to clear one of the nuts. If you can wait til tomorrow, I'll snap a closeup pic.

Absolutely- I can wait I'm planning to do this once, so I'm taking my time. I'd like to keep the whole mount as one piece so I can ensure the pods are evenly spaced, but I'm wondering how much interference there is behind the hood latch, too. Pics would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Mounting behind the hood latch bracket will be difficult, but maybe you have more patience than me.

I doubt it. Yours is two mounts, not one continuous part?

It's a bit of a hack-job, but I had to clear that one cap nut. The two outside bolts use the existing holes.
