Ive had plenty of luck with ebay cree lights. And as for location it’s pretty much personal preference. Lots of guys run them on both sides at the bottom of the widow. So put it behind the grill or in the bumper

Nope involves cutting inside where the turn signal sits

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I've had my Auxbeam LED bar on for about a month now and so far no complaints. They were one of the top reviewed bargain brands and so I'm sure they're pods are just as good. I plan to order a bar for my F250 and ATV as well from them. The ATV will be the true test of durability, that machine gets put through some serious abuse.

I've had some 7" auxbeam led pods on my truck for about a year and love them.

Depends on why you want lights, and what you're trying to illuminate. The lights at the hood/windshield are good for ditch lights, but pointing those straight ahead and you can end up with glare on the hood... Bumper lights are probably the easiest to install, just bolt them to the top of the bumper, but the turn signal ones look better, but you also have to relocate your turn signals (usually to the corner marker lights).

For the "best" offroad lights, you want the light source as high as possible to minimise shadows etc, but that also gives you that bro look that everyone has...
