Has anyone wired aftermarket lighting (LED pods/bars) to come on when the door opens/factory bed LED’s are on? And use the factory switch inside the truck.

Thinking it would be useful to have 2 led pods mounted on the 3rd rail behind the windshield for night fishing/loading gear/paddle boards etc...

I did the OEM style LED's in the bed. Looks really nice and instead of hooking into door wire, just ran a switch to the left side of the steering wheel. Then I can turn them on/off when ever.

I was thinking about replacing the factory bed lights with the rigid ignite light pod things

I have the OEM LEDs in the bed. Really like them. But I want to mount 2 pods facing the tailgate on the bed rail behind the windshield. I'd like to be able to run them on the same wire as the LED bed lights so that they'll come on with those lights and go off with those lights.
