Let's see/hear your LED setups. I wanna replace the fog lights with some yellow pods, and I currently have some cheapo Amazon Nilights on the hood, sides of the rack, and rear of the rack that I'd like to upgrade to a more quality setup. I'm thinking of going with yellow pods on the hood as well. Probably gonna end up doing either a bar or pods on the front of the rack too eventually. Just curious to see everyone else's builds and ideas

A Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog light kit would be a great upgrade. I love them. My truck, mom's car and dad's truck all have Pros on them and we all love them. My current pair that were on my Taco survived a front end collision this year. Took them off and put them on the F150 and worked perfectly!

Thanks for calling me a jerk. I really do appreciate it! I did nothing to provoke you nor anyone here to deserve the name calling or the call out but that's fine. You do you

The Sports are not perfect in my situation. I needed a light that would melt snow which is something the Sports have a hard time doing. I will say that yes some brackets don't give enough adjustment to not blind people especially on lifted vehicles. Since my truck is at stock height I don't have any problems with that and neither did my last truck, my dad's truck or mom's car. All of which were aimed properly.

If they did blind people so badly then how did they meet any DOT/SAE standards?

    Have a nice day,
    Sincerely a "jerk" :hattip:

Very assumptive comment. I have the diode dynamics and to blind people, they would have to be on all the time. I use mine much like I use brights, which is they are usually off for oncoming traffic. With that said, I don’t get flashed by oncoming traffic if they are left on though.

Interestingly, I just put LEDs on my wifes vehicle and my Tacoma and they are fine. DO NOT blind oncoming traffic. Have tested them. Researched. If I went by the gospel on this site, i never would have gotten them, but Im glad I researched it for myself rather than relying on certain perspectives.

I like Tacoma world but definitely can do without the know it all comments that pop up frequently,

I went with the OEM LED fog lights (came with the halogens) and then put the lamin-x yellow tint on them, perfect for my set up and not very expensive.

    Looks like this:

So what did you use? And what did you use for research? Do you understand the difference between PnP LEDs in projectors vs reflectors? So you understand than that halogen projectors with LEDs are completely incapable of outperforming halogens in those halogen projectors? The world's best LEDs can't complete with simple stock wattage halogen performance bulbs. The LED pattern will be shifted to a shorter range pattern with increased foreground light due to loss of focus, meaning loss of distance light. Yeah, they don't blind oncoming traffic in projectors, because of the OEM projector, not because of the LED. Any confusion there means you were listening to some really bad advice or super gullible to a garbage sales video.

Or were you running the PnP LEDs in a reflector? That is especially frowned upon. Save very few housings, (mainly highly rectangular late model F150) running a PnP in a reflector results in significantly increased blinding glare to oncoming traffic, while still failing to outperform halogens. But again the LEDs have reduced focus shifting the pattern toward the vehicle for increased foreground light and loss of distance light. In reflectors especially the pattern is not uniformly lit, and parts of the headlight pattern do not receive light that should, because an LED is incapable of illuminating as an omnidirectional light source like a halogen, resulting in a poor beam pattern at best while being significantly lower performing than a halogen. It is not physically possible with todays technology for PnP LEDs to replicate a halgogen, meaning the LED bulbs are not compatible with halogen housings with todays technology, regardless of whatever marketing lies you were told.

Halogens easily outproduce LEDs in halogen assemblies in both projectors and reflectors without fudging the beam with off-spec LED bulbs causing glare and loss of pattern performance. These are the facts.

It's also worth noting that IIHS has declared all PnP LEDs illegal in headlights, as unsafe and falsely advertised forcing a nationwide recall on every manufacture in the US. So you'll notice US based companies no longer sell them for that purpose, but those garbage quality Chinese ones have escaped the compliance recall of falsely advertising LEDs as safe for headlight use.

Unfortunately what happens is you have people install LEDs promised by a vendor to be something great, and they blow out your foreground light due to completely incompatible optics, which puts a bunch of light right in-front of the vehicle that looks impressive, and shifts it away from your distance light which is the primary purpose. And since people by nature judge light by what's closest to them, they come out and say things like "they did the research" (meaning watching LED sales sponsored youtube videos) and that "they know from first hand experience" trying a single product, that it is better. It has been proven countless times that comments like this are laughable, judging automotive light output on human vision which is significantly flawed. That isn't how automotive lighting works unfortunately, it is far more complicated. I realize this seems counter intuitive and you might think I sound harsh, but go try posting on an actual automotive lighting site like candlepower. Be prepared to be laughed and mocked off the forum by lighting experts if you even try to just slightly refute the above remarks and stand by your previous statement.

I run Diode Dynamics SS3 Max fogs and SS3 Pro ditch lights. Both in selective yellow.

If you have the means I highly recommend picking some up. They're so choice.

Got a photo of your setup? I'm assuming you've got a desert taco by your name and that sand color just makes me feel some type of way, so I kinda want to see it haha

Where did he hurt you? instead of the long assed rant you removed his first sentence which addressed your main assumptions.

    Just incase you missed it:
